"The course is not in perfect conditions..
Considering the overall cost of the green fee (>300€ per person) we would expect greens and fairways in perfect conditions and it is not like this.
Customer service is terrible… pro shop is closed, personnel at the bar was not polite.

"Sotogrande was an absolute delight to play and we were all made to feel very welcome. The whole experience was great with a warm welcome, great food and drinks and a beautiful course and surroundings. Although it looks fairly flat from the clubhouse, I'm glad we had buggies, but it could be played okay walking. This felt very much like a lovely, members club and one that had a very nice feel to it. The course was beautifully kept and the greens were very fast. The surrounding houses were also a lovely distraction too. The customer service was excellent and it helped that my golf was playing ball.
Loved the whole day and experience and would love to play it again and soak it all up once more. Thank you for a lovely day. Donna" - Donna Brookes

"It took more than 5 hours, because there were groups of women players in front of us, who are probably members. They don’t care at all speed of play and just slowly doing putting on the green and chatting and laughing. They seem to have no sense to keep the pace of playing. I am just visitor and accept such situation but I do not think it is good for this world famous golf club!"

"No value for money, completely overpriced. Good maintenance but no friendly staff and unable to talk English. Very noisy, busy and greenkeepers who just don’t care. It was a disaster. We had to speed up but we finished 18 holes in 4 hours and 6 minutes.
Very disrespectful towards us, just pay 220 euro and get the hell out of here
I was a shame, never again. The signature holes was played with two greenkeepers raking the bunker at only 4 meters of distance. They could show more respect and wait and stand back" - Robert

"To many repairs om the fairways.
Greenkeeper sitting on greens to make repairs sitting with his back to us when we vere shooting to greens.
Workers driving around severel fairvays.
When we came back to the clubhouse the caddymaster Said he would take our bags to the car we vere waiting 10 minutes at the car so we had to pick up the bags ourself and they vere still sitting om the buggies and the caddymaster was nowhere.

"Incredibly well preparerade course. It had been raining for several days, and all. The other courses we played were wet and muddy, Sotogrande was perfect. Also, the value for money also comes in terms of service. Bag pickup at car parking, fre driving range balls, club cleaning service after the round etc etc. They even came driving with towels for us, when we had a few rainy holes. "We were a group of nine guys playing. The course was fairly open if you missed on other side of the fairway. Greens were extremely good and fast and all parts of the gourse in top shape.

"I played most courses on the Cos de Sol over the last 25 years and Sotogrande would be my top choice to play again. Work was being carried out on the greens so some greens were in disrepair, however it did not spoil our golf. We had a wonderful day,thank you."

"Without doubt a beautiful course - however everywhere except the greens was in poor condition. Buggies are prohibited from certain areas using a GPS system that sounded an alarm then cut out the motor which was very irritating - just rope of the area! !
So not worth the money and 45 euro for a painful buggy is a joke." - richard Edwards
