"Great location, stunning mountain and sea views. Very quick greens. Some tees a little threadbare, fairways good. Buggy essential to maintain pace of play. A 5 hour round, 4 hours for a 4 ball should suffice here but no sign of any marshalls to encourage the one very slow group 2 groups ahead.

"Anfi Tauro is my favorite course on Gran Canaria. It is embedded in a wonderful landscape with beautiful holes. I like especially 3, 14 and 15, where you stand high to do the first strike (for men) and have a wonderfol view. I am a bit sorry for the changements that have taken place during the last years to reach a quicker pace (money, money, money ...). The place was much more interesting with the rock on hole 17 and the trees on hole 18 (the big chengements)." - golflady

"The golf course is indeed beautiful, but if one pays 140 euros and experiences constant delays due to an overcrowded course, it may lead to a loss of customers. I personally played 9 holes, and the individuals in my group ceased playing after 9 holes due to the extensive wait at each hole. If you wish for customers to return, it would be advisable to reduce the number of bookings and allow individuals to fully appreciate your magnificent golf course." - Ron van der Geer

"Course interesting to play but you had to hire a buggy whether you wanted one or not, it was compulsory!
This needs to be made clear before booking as it adds 25 euros to each persons green fee, that's 100 euros per 4 ball.
Very expensive
Probably would not play it again.

"From my point of view, the course has been degraded with the changes made to hole 17 and 18. That was the identity og Tauro! The rest is fine, except for greenfee priced without Buggy, which fools everyone.I have played Tauro a lot of times,but today I was dissapointed.

Only issue was buggies were compulsory, you were not allowed to play without one, so we would have liked to know that before we booked and should be in the price rather than getting a surprise when we got there, we would have still played it though.

"some excellent holes on what is a very good course. Plenty of elevation, but the course layout does not flow well, and the front 9 is a little confusing. The practice ground can now only be reached by a 15 minute walk, and the alternative is a coup0le oif scruffy nets and a tired putting area - a real dissapointment given the course and accompanying hotel.
There is a problem with speed as you should expect 5 hours. The starter was quite open about it, but as the fourball in front of us had three air shots on the firsat hole, its not really suprising. There is no attempt to speed up play at all." - anj

"Spectacular layout, where every green is framed, either into and under the rockface or with valley and sea in the background.large Sloping greens with fast downhill putts. Position on fairway important so not always a driver off the tee. A good thinking course. The only downside, driving range was too far away to use. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. "This is a great course and in excellent condition. A very warm welcome in the ProShop and from the Caddymaster. Buggies are compulsory during the peak season and come fitted with a GPS system.
The course has an interesting layout with several changes of elevation. Water comes into play on a number of holes. The 6th hole is a lovely Par 3 framed by a large rock and the sea. In fact the camera came out on a number of holes as there are plenty of photo opportunities.
The course is very Arizona like in places and one can only imagine how they managed to create the course.
Whilst there is not a specific golf clubhouse, Anfi Emerald is right there and offers drinks and food at reasonable prices.
We are playing 6 rounds here over the next month and are looking forward to these." - Julie Richardson
