"I have seen this course in better shape and condition. I think you should have reduced green-fee because of this bad condition. Another thing is, why is it so that we on some hole couldn’t drive on the fairway but need to only drive on the pathway? No explanation why. "Lovely facilities with a nice clubhouse and massive golf shop. Course in pretty good condition. Only issue are the bunkers which do not have a sufficient amount of sand in them making it difficult to play a proper shot from them. Buggy highly recommended as course is very hilly in many places and the distance between holes on some of them is quite a distance. The course has a number of exciting holes. The downhill par 4 4th is drivable!
Advantage should be taken on the short par 3 8th and 17th. Also the par 5 9th reachable in two for bigger hitters.
All the staff were very friendly that we encountered.
Playing it for the first time can be tricky as you need to know where to aim. Overall not too silly a price and is another typically Quirky course on the Costa." - Spiggy

Condition of the course is good and the layout is nice but quite a few steep hills, buggy is recommended.
Tees and Greens were good, but most of the bunkers need topping-up with fresh sand.
Nice bar/restaurant in the clubhouse overlooking the course with the ocean in the background.

Impossible to hit normal bunker shots. 2 cm with sand - then like concrete under!

"We had a good time honestly. Great that you offer a safe in the carts, really love that. Troyes and fairways in good shape so are the greens. Only issues i could thinknoff that the front 9 the green were faster than on the back nine. The course seems easy but it’s really not. Some holes need to play strategically.
Staff is nice and nice that you have ranger assuring pace of play.

"I really like the Calanova course and have played it several times over the last three years. Basically I can confirm the comments JaCe has made on 2024-10-23.
Besides this, some holes were set up pretty short, I.e. #9 Par 5 played about 370m off the yellow tees!!?? And the greens, although in good condition, played way slower than other courses we have visited this January.
Anyway, I really recommend playing Calanova Golf Course, It’s worth the money!"

"Beautiful and challenging mountain course,
course management is definitely the key! My girl friend birdied the difficult vertical drop blind Hole 4 with the tips I gave her! Fairways and greens are maintained well. The Pro Shop is amazing, with 2 stories of golf merchandise, from shoes, clothes, to golf equipments, definitely the biggest golf pro shop I have ever seen!
